The Environmental Investigation Agency (EIA) is an independent campaigning organisation committed to bringing about change that protects the natural world from environmental crime and abuse.
Our vision is a future where humanity respects, protects and celebrates the natural world for the benefit of all. Our investigators work around the world – often undercover and sometimes in dangerous circumstances – to bring back the evidence which forms the basis of our campaigning and lobbying work Small but highly respected, our track record shows that meaningful change is possible, whether we’re exposing criminals, raising awareness or lobbying for better enforcement. About the role: EIA’s Communications department plays a vital role within the organisation providing hard-hitting images and video footage for our reports, website and social media. It also provides training for local NGOs to help them use these techniques in their own campaigning. Reporting to the Head of Operations, the Visual Communications Coordinator is responsible for the coordination of activities within the Communications Department and the supply of the department’s services to the rest of the organisation. They will project manage campaign communication plans and assist in training local NGOs in-country in visual documentation and editing skills as required. The coordinator will maintain administrative oversight of the Communications Department.
